This back plate is designed for wood docks assembly. It prevents wood chipping from carriage bolt heads that would weaken wood integrity. It also distributes equally the stress of bolts on the wood structure. To be combined with other brackets that have 7/16 in. holes such as inside corners, leg holders or hinges.
